Overview
The course is built around a common structure which explains and explores an existing voice network and an existing data network, before looking at how both environments can be converged to provide a solid framework for a need breed of services and applications such as IP Telephony, Real-Time Video and Multimedia. The course provides a special emphasis on
IP Telephony. Demonstrations will be provided throughout the course.

Support Engineers, IT/Network Managers, Pre- and Post- Sales staff, who have existing experience and understanding of data communications and who wish to gain a basic understanding of voice communications and of converged networking.
Pre-requisites
The course is aimed at individuals from a data background who need to better understand the whole issue of voice/data convergence. As such delegates should have a sound understanding of data networking.
